Trans Canada Highway remains closed near Sicamous after multi-vehicle incident

KAMLOOPS — The Trans Canada Highway remains closed after a multi-vehicle incident Saturday (Jan. 8) evening.

DriveBC first reported of the incident near Bernie Road in the Sicamous area shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday.

A detour is in effect via Highway 97A and 97B, but there’s no estimated time of re-opening. Another update is due for 2 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 9).

Witness video shows the incident involving multiple vehicles, including commercial trucks.
