More snow is on the way for Kamloops region Thursday
KAMLOOPS – A Heavy Snowfall warning remains in place for the South Thompson region Thursday morning, following a night of steady snowfall.
Environment Canada reports 6 cm of snow fell at it’s measuring station at Fulton Field between midnight and 7 A.M. However it believes higher elevations in Kamloops saw an an additional 2 cm to 3 cm on the ground.
It says the bulk of the snow from the storm system has now however flurries through the day may deliver another 2 cm to the Kamloops area.
Forecasters expect another storm system will develop late this afternoon over the Fraser Canyon and push into Kamloops region through the evening.
