Dec 29, 2021 | 1:11 PM

NANAIMO — Canada Post temporarily suspended delivery for the mid Island area due to poor weather conditions.

The suspension of service applies to Wednesday Dec. 29 for Nanaimo, Ladysmith, and Gabriola Island. The federal crown corporation is not sending any delivery agents out.

Service for Parksville and Qualicum Beach is continuing but may see delays.

Today’s alert is posted on their delivery service alerts webpage.

Canada Post encourages customers to clear ice and snow from their walkways, stairs and driveways to ensure safe access to the front door for both their visitors and mail carriers once service resumes.

Any questions can be directed to the Canada Post’s Customers Service team at 1-866-607-6301.
