Homicide investigation underway in 70 Mile House

70 Mile House – The death of a 52-year-old man is under investigation by RCMP in 70 Mile House.
In a news release, RCMP say officers arrived at a home in the 2600 block of Komori Road about 11:30 A.M. That’s where they found the victim with critical injuries. Life saving efforts were not able to save the man.
RCMP S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says one person was taken into custody during the initial stages of the homicide investigation.
“One 62-year-old man, who is known to the victim was arrested and has since been released but has not yet been charged.” She added, “Investigators believe that this is an isolated incident and there’s no ongoing risk to the public.”
