KAMLOOPS — Highway 3 between Hope and Princeton officially reopened for non-essential traffic Tuesday (Dec. 21) morning.
The announcement from DriveBC comes one day after the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt reopened for commercial trucks and inter city buses, and Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet re-opened for non-essential travel.
Highways 3 and 99 previously closed in mid-November following a series of major rainstorms that caused flooding, mudslides, and washouts across the region.
Drivers are told to expect delays and congestion, and no services are available. DriveBC says there’s no stopping in Princeton for vehicles over 14,500 kilograms.
