One man arrested after reports of ‘indecent acts’ committed in Kamloops drive-thrus

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say one man has been arrested after a series of indecent acts around the city.

In a release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says police received reports on Tuesday and Wednesday (Dec. 7 and 8) of a man committing lewd acts while using restaurant drive-thrus.

Then on Thursday (Dec. 9) just before 5 a.m., frontline officers were conducting surveillance along Notre Dame Drive as part of the investigation when they found a suspect and arrested him.

“Based on the information gathered so far, investigators believe there may be other people who were exposed to the acts and have not yet reported to police,” states Cst. Evelyn, “If this sounds like something that may have happened to you recently, or to someone you know, please contact us as soon as possible.”

RCMP say the man was released with a court date and conditions, with charge recommendations anticipated pending the conclusion of the investigation.
