Multi-vehicle incident closes Highway 5 at CN Junction north of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE 10:05 a.m: Drive BC says Highway 5 is now open to single lane traffic in both directions at CN Road junction, north of Kamloops. Crews are still on scene, so motorists are asked to pass through carefully, and expect delays.
PREVIOUS: Highway 5 is closed in both directions between CN Junction Road and Devick Road north of Kamloops due to a multi-vehicle incident Wednesday (Dec. 8) morning.
BC Emergency Health Services (EHS) told CFJC Today that five people were transported to hospital. One patient is in critical condition, two are in serious condition, and two are stable. EHS says four ambulances were dispatched after they received the report at 8:20 a.m.
