Kamloops sees another drop in weekly COVID-19 cases, lowest daily rate since early August

KAMLOOPS — For the first time since early August, the Kamloops local health area (LHA) is at an average daily rate of COVID-19 cases between 5.1 and 10.

According to the latest data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), Kamloops saw 75 new COVID-19 cases between Nov. 21 and 27, down by 17 from the previous week.

The Merritt and Lillooet LHA’s did not report any COVID-19 cases. While Central Okanagan and Vernon remained relatively the same, Salmon Arm saw another increase.

Here is a list of LHA totals in the Interior surrounding Kamloops:

  • Kamloops – 75 (down by 17 from last week)
  • Cariboo/Chilcotin – 84 (up by 18)
  • North Thompson – 11 (down by 15)
  • 100 Mile House – one (down by four)
  • South Cariboo – three (up by two)
  • Lillooet – zero (unchanged)
  • Merritt – zero (down by two)
  • Vernon – 43 (down by one)
  • Armstrong-Spallumcheen – five (down by 15)
  • Enderby – 18 (down by two)
  • Salmon Arm – 53 (up by 16)
  • Revelstoke – one (up by one)
  • Central Okanagan (Kelowna) – 141 (up by one)
