Garand, Stankoven invited to World Jr. selection camp
CALGARY — Hockey Canada has invited two members of the Kamloops Blazers to the selection camp for the Canadian World Junior Hockey team.
Goaltender Dylan Garand and forward Logan Stankoven will participate in the camp in Calgary from Dec. 9-12.
Garand is one of three returning members from the 2021 World Junior team and is one of three netminders named to the selection camp. He is a New York Rangers draft pick.
Stankoven also has plenty of experience with Team Canada, most recently at the 2021 U18 World Hockey Championships in Texas where he scored the gold-medal winning goal in a 4-3 win over Russia.
