KAMLOOPS — Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet will be closed at 4 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 30) due to the incoming atmospheric river event.

Geotechnical and operational crews will re-evaluate the roadway on Wednesday morning, with the highway re-opening when safe to do so. Highway 3 between Hope and Princeton remains open to essential traffic.

Essential purposes for travel are include transporting essential goods, supplies, livestock and agriculture products, and responding to emergencies. Checkpoints will be in place and travel restrictions will be enforced.
