Several southern BC highways remain closed as precautionary storm measure
BRITISH COLUMBIA — Several highway stretches are still closed today as a precautionary measure during storm warnings, and an update on their status is expected by this afternoon.
Yesterday (Nov. 27), Highway 1 through the Fraser Canyon, Highway 3 between Hope and Princeton and Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet were closed.
The Ministry of Transportation says the highways were previously impacted by extreme weather and their reopening will depend on weather conditions.
Drive BC tweeted in an update this morning (Nov. 28) that updates for those roadways are expected by 11 a.m.
