Remaining three COVID-19 outbreaks at Royal Inland Hospital declared over

KAMLOOPS — When the week began, Royal Inland Hospital was dealing with four concurrent COVID-19 outbreaks. Now there are none.

After the outbreak on 7-North was declared over earlier this week, Interior Health now reports outbreaks on 5-South, 6-North and 5-North were declared over Thursday (Nov. 25).

In total, the four outbreaks consisted of 57 total cases — 42 among patients and 15 among staff and others.

Three patient deaths were attributed to the outbreaks — one death on 7-North and two deaths on 5-South.
