At least two injured in Highway 5 crash near McLure

McLURE, B.C. — UPDATE: This story has been updated here.

EARLIER: At least two people have been injured in a major crash north of Kamloops.

According to B.C. Emergency Health Services (BCEHS), paramedics were called to Highway 5 in the McLure area at about 3:15 p.m.

Initial reports stated the collision involved two commercial trucks.

BCEHS says two patients were transported to the scene to hospital. One was in serious condition and the other was in stable condition.

There are no word on potential fatalities.

UPDATED: The road was closed in both directions at that spot, however Drive BC reports the highway has reopened as of 5:15 a.m this morning (Nov. 25).
