WolfPack’s Elgert named Canada West Player of the Week

KAMLOOPS — His performance in the TRU WolfPack men’s volleyball first win of the season has earned conference recognition for Samuel Elgert.

Elgert is the Canada West player of the week after his historic effort in the WolfPack’s win over UBC Okanagan Heat.

The engineering student athlete from Edmonton had a rare triple-double with 13 kills, 28 assists and 12 digs in the WolfPack’s 3-2 win.

Elgert’s final three kills served out the game in a 24-22 fifth set.
