Special weather statement issued with gusty winds forecast for South Thompson

KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the South Thompson region today (Nov. 15), with gusting winds on the way.

The forecaster says wind gusting up to 50-70 km/h is expected this morning until this evening throughout the Interior.

Residents are advised to take precautions, as the high winds may toss loose objects, or cause tree branches to break.

Winds are expected to ease tonight as the system moves further east.
