Interior Health declares fourth active COVID-19 outbreak at Royal Inland Hospital

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health declared a new COVID-19 outbreak on Unit 5 North at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH).
The 32-bed stroke and rehab unit has two positive patient cases, but no positive staff cases.
Unit 5 North is the fourth active COVID-19 outbreak at RIH. The first active outbreak at RIH was declared on Nov. 2 on 5 South, a medical unit, the second declared on Monday (Nov. 8) on 7 North, a medical unit treating cardiac and renal patients, and the third declared on Wednesday (Nov. 10) on 6 South.
Temporary visitor restrictions at RIH were implemented on Wednesday.
