Merritt-area MP Albas retains environment portfolio

MERRITT, B.C. — Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole has announced his new shadow cabinet appointments with Merritt-area MP Dan Albas continuing in his role as Shadow Minister for Environment and Climate Change.

The Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola MP was moved to the environment portfolio when O’Toole won the Tory leadership race in 2020.

Recently Albas was in Glasgow, Scotland for the COP26 Climate Conference with diplomats from around the world.

The Conservative leadership group includes, Candice Bergen as Deputy Leader, Gerald Deltell as House Leader and Blake Richards as Opposition Whip.
