Garand records 10th career WHL shutout, Blazers blow out Royals 6-0
KAMLOOPS — One game after playing his 100th career Western Hockey League (WHL) game, Kamloops Blazers goaltender Dylan Garand recorded his 10th career shutout.
Garand stopped all 22 shots he faced against the Victoria Royals Friday (Nov. 5) evening and his teammates gave him all the run support he needed.
Matthew Seminoff, Nick McCarry, and Daylan Kuefler all scored in the first period in Victoria, while Logan Stankoven, Ethan Brandwood, and Fraser Minten followed suit in the second.
The Blazers have won six straight games and have a 10-1-0 record, good for 20 points in 11 games and first in the Western Conference. They play one more game in Victoria against the Royals Saturday (Nov. 6) at 7 p.m.
