Team Brown falls in Canadian Curling Pre-Trials final

KAMLOOPS — Team Brown was in the 2021 Canadian Curling Pre-Trials until the end, but they will not have the opportunity to qualify for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

The curling team affiliated with the Kamloops Curling Club started Sunday (Oct. 31) in the B side semifinal with an 8-5 win over Team Anderson but fell 9-2 to Team Harrison in the finals. Team Brown finished with a 4-2 record in round robin play before going 2-1 in the playoffs.

The Canadian Olympic Curling Trials will be held from Nov. 20 to 28 in Saskatoon, where the winners of the men’s and women’s tournament will be chosen to represent Canada at the 2022 Olympics.
