KAMLOOPS — After starting 3-and-0 the Corryn Brown rink from Kamloops has hit a bump in the road at the Olympic Curling pre-trials in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.

Following a first loss yesterday, Team Brown played Penny Barker from Moose Jaw in the first of two games today.

After a steal of three in the 6th end it was looking good, with a 7-4 lead.

But Barker scored three in the 7th and stole the next two ends before running Brown out of rocks for a 10-7 win.

That left both rinks tied at three-and-two, but the Moose Jaw rink gets the tie break advantage on head-to-head.

Brown has one draw left in the round robin against undefeated Krista McCarville.

There are no tie breaking games at the pre-trials.

Brown needs to beat McCarville tonight, and have McCarville beat Barker tomorrow, to clinch.

Team Brown would still not be mathematically eliminated if they lose tonight, though.

Still other teams could end up tied with them and then it could go to the Last Shot Draw rankings.
