Thirteen COVID-19 deaths Friday; 667 new cases across B.C.

VICTORIA — It has been a deadly day in the battle against COVID-19 in B.C.

In a news release, B.C.’s health ministry reports 13 more deaths from the virus Friday (Oct. 15), raising the provincial death toll to 2,055. Two of the deaths took place in Interior Health, while the remaining 11 were all in Fraser Health.

There were 667 new cases recorded Friday, with 101 in Interior Health.

The active COVID-19 caseload dropped to 5,128 across the province, including 817 in the Interior region.
