Kamloops sees significant decrease of weekly COVID-19 cases; out of dark red category

KAMLOOPS — For the first time since Aug. 8 to 14, the Kamloops local health area (LHA) is at an average daily rate per 100,000 population in between 10.1 and 15.
According to the latest COVID-19 data made available by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) broken down by LHA, Kamloops had 131 new cases between Oct. 3 and 9, putting it out of the dark red category of an average daily rate of 20.
Other LHA’s also saw notable decreases, such as Cariboo/Chilcotin, Merritt, Central Okanagan and Lillooet. However, some such as Salmon Arm saw significant increases.
