DeSantis steps down as KCBIA executive director

KAMLOOPS — The head of the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association (KCBIA) is stepping down.

In an email to CFJC Today, Carl DeSantis says he tendered his resignation to the KCBIA board of directors this morning. DeSantis says he was not planning to make a public announcement yet, but word leaked out regardless.

DeSantis took over the executive director’s position from Gay Pooler in early 2018. Most of his earlier career was spent in law enforcement.

Though his last day on the job is December 10, DeSantis says he has committed to helping the board recruit and transition to a successor.

As for his future, DeSantis says he does not plan to move but also does not plan to work.
