Gas can found on fire outside Westsyde home

KAMLOOPS — A Westsyde resident woke up to smoke and located a gas can on fire outside of their front door Tuesday (Oct. 12) morning.

Kamloops Fire Rescue reported a suspected arson on the 800-block of Anderson Terrace at around 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.

RCMP say the homeowner was able to extinguish the fire. A witness in the area reported seeing a person in black run up the road from Westsyde, then saw flames and called 911 as the person ran away.
