WolfPack baseball shut out in CCBC Championship opener

KAMLOOPS — A young WolfPack squad was humbled on the opening day of the CCBC Fall Championship in Kelowna.

TRU was blanked 8-0 to a veteran University of the Fraser Valley team, which is one of the favourites to win. The ‘Pack only have three players with CCBC experience.

Fernando Fuentes took the loss, pitching five innings and giving up six hits, five earned runs, while striking out five batters.

Fifth-year Kurtis Wall went 2-for-4 at the plate. Matt Coxon was 1-for-3.
