KAMLOOPS – Drivers using the Coquihalla over the weekend could find themselves dealing with some snow. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Coquihalla Highway and the Okanagan Connector.
Up to 15 cm of snow is expected over the Thanksgiving weekend at higher elevations along the two highways. The snow is being delivered by a weather system that could linger over the area for more than a day.
Environment Canada says precipitation will start to fall as rain Saturday afternoon and then change to snow Saturday night or Sunday morning. The snow is expected to continue falling through Sunday evening.
The special weather statement covers an area from Hope to Kamloops and Kelowna.
