RCMP seek tips after shooting victim turns up at Royal Inland Hospital

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking for information after a gunshot victim showed up at the local emergency department Tuesday (Sept. 28).

In a release, Cpl. Dana Napier says the man turned up at Royal Inland Hospital early Tuesday with a gunshot wound in his hand.

Police believe the shooting incident was isolated and targeted, not representing a threat to the general public.

Nonetheless, police are asking for witnesses or information. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477, citing file number 2021-34181.
