KAMLOOPS — A video recorded by a Kamloops drone enthusiast shows in vivid detail some of the devastation wrought by this year’s largest wildfire in B.C.
The Sparks Lake wildfire was discovered on June 28 northwest of Kamloops. The suspected human-caused fire eventually grew to nearly 90,000 hectares, destroying property and leading to multiple evacuations in the process.
Video posted this week by YouTube user Evan from Kamloops shows some of the damage left in the fire’s wake.
