Blazers split weekend exhibition series; edged by Cougars 7-6 in a shootout
PRINCE GEORGE — The Kamloops Blazers settled for a split in their weekend home-and-home exhibition series against the Prince George Cougars.
After a 5-3 win at the Sandman Centre, the Blazers fell 7-6 in a shootout Saturday (Sept. 18) evening in Prince George.
Matthew Seminoff led the way offensively for Kamloops with a hat trick before the end of the second period. Fraser Minten scored with 30 seconds left to send the game to overtime.
However, the Blazers went zero for three in the shootout as the Cougars’ Riley Heidt scored the winner.
