Unusual traffic stop in Dallas finds stolen scooter, man on probation

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man is facing a series of charges after an early-morning scooter stop in Dallas.
At about 1:45 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 16), an officer on patrol near Kokanee Way saw a man pushing a yellow Yamaha scooter along the sidewalk.
The officer recognized the man and, through background checks, discovered he was on probation and the scooter had been reported stolen.
Forty-two-year-old Mark Erin Nelson was arrested and is facing charges for possession of stolen property and break-in instruments (pry bar, bolt cutters, glass punch) as well as several probation violations.
