KAMLOOPS — Following Interior Health’s updated guidelines regarding live events on Monday (Sept. 14), the Kamloops Blazers announced the team will host 50 per cent of the Sandman Centre’s capacity for their Western Hockey League (WHL) pre-season home games.

To attend, spectators are required to show proof of full vaccination (two doses) and wear a mask in accordance with Interior Health and Provincial Health Officer restrictions.

The half-capacity move is a pivot from Sept. 8 when the Blazers announced their home pre-season games would either be deleted from the schedule or moved to Prince George.

Now, the Blazers will play two games at the Sandman Centre: Friday, Sept. 17 at 7:00 p.m. against Prince George and Friday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 p.m. against Kelowna.

Tickets for the home WHL pre-season games will go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Box Office. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

The Blazers play their regular season home opener on Saturday, Oct. 9 against the Prince George Cougars.
