KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Local Health Area (LHA) didn’t see an increase — or decrease — in weekly COVID-19 cases.

According to the latest geographic distribution of COVID-19 by Local Health Area of Case Residence by the B.C. Centre of Disease Control, Kamloops saw 249 new cases between Aug. 29 and Sept. 4, the exact same total last week. It’s still an average daily rate per 100,000 population greater than 20.

Areas such as Central Okanagan (Kelowna), Vernon and Salmon Arm saw decreases from last week, although most LHAs around Kamloops are at an average daily rate per 100,000 population greater than 20.
