Evacuation Alert Lifted

TNRD rescinds multiple evacuation alerts for properties impacted by Flat Lake wildfire

KAMLOOPS — The Flat Lake wildfire no longer poses an imminent risk to the safety of residents near Clinton and 70 Mile House.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District rescinded its evacuation alert for 185 properties Tuesday (Aug. 24) afternoon.

The following properties are all clear:

• 2272 to 2288 Cunningham Rd.
• 2760 and 2769 Dog Creek Rd.
• 1876 to 1948 Lake Dr.
• 320 to 1410 Meadow Lake Rd.
• 3380 to 3600 Meadow Lake Rd.
• 1320 to 1380 Beaver Rd.
• 2340 to 4415 Big Bar Rd.
• 880 to 1402 Isadore Rd.
• 2629 to 3193 Little Big Bar Rd.
• 1792 to 2264 Marriot Rd.
• 3629 to 3645 Sharptail Rd.
• 104 to 280 Sorley Rd.
• any other properties within the boundary noted on the attached map
  (Thompson-Nicola Regional District).

This comes after the Cariboo Regional District lifted numerous evacuation alerts related to the Flat Lake wildfire Monday (Aug. 23) evening.
