Coldwater Indian Band issues evacuation order for Reserve 3

MERRITT, B.C. — The Coldwater Indian Band has issued an evacuation ORDER for Reserve #3 Gwen Lake due to the July Mountain wildfire.
The order was issued Thursday afternoon by Chief and Council. Residents are being asked to leave immediately.
The July Mountain is estimated at 20,860 hectares, and is now being managed by an incident management team. More details are expected to be released in the coming days with the takeover of the incident management team on Thursday.
