Serious crash closes Trans Canada Highway west of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Emergency services are on scene of a very serious crash just west of Kamloops.

Cst. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP says it happened on the Trans Canada Highway near the New Afton mine, and that there will be highway closures.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Callers to the CFJC Today newsroom say the crash is very serious, and traffic is backed up in both directions.
