Zary wins Dean Evason Award

KAMLOOPS — When Minnesota Wild head coach Dean Evason played for the Kamloops Junior Oilers from 1981 to 1984 he served as team captain and was known for his inspirational leadership.

Each season the Kamloops Blazers present an award to a player who exemplifies some of the same qualities that Evason had as a player.

The Dean Evason Award for Inspirational Leadership and Ability for the Blazers 2020-21 season goes to Connor Zary.

Zary served as the team captain last season.
