B.C. reports 501 new COVID-19 cases, 205 in Interior Health
KAMLOOPS — Interior Health accounted for less than 50 per cent of B.C.’s new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday (Aug. 17).
B.C. is reporting 501 new cases of COVID-19, including nine epidemically-linked cases, with 205 of them (41 per cent) in Interior Health.
There are 5,296 (+206) active cases of COVID-19 in B.C., with 3,084 (+102) of them in Interior Health. Provincially, 111 individuals (+7) are in hospital, with 51 (+4) in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
In the past 24 hours, one new death was reported in Island Health. The provincial total is now 1,781.
