TNRD meeting with Monte Lake, Westwold, and Paxton Valley residents to discuss fire recovery

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) will host a meeting for residents of Monte Lake, Westwold, and Paxton Valley.

The TNRD says its goal is to discuss fire recovery and next steps for residents affected by the White Rock Lake wildfire. As of Saturday, the TNRD reports 29 structures lost due to the fire.

The TNRD states it’s committed to assisting with the clean-up and rebuilding of the community that will take place over the coming months.

The meeting will be at Westwold Community Hall on Tuesday (Aug. 17) at 7 p.m.
