Island Health says ‘Walk-In Wednesday’ a success in Nanaimo
NANAIMO — An effort to reduce barriers to people getting a COVID-19 vaccination is considered successful by Island Health.
The health authority said 293 people walked in to the Beban Park community clinic on Wednesday, Aug. 4 to receive either a first or second COVID-19 vaccination dose.
The Beban Park clinic was the fifth busiest within Island Health on the day.
The Victoria Conference Centre clinic saw the most walk-ins with 891.
