Three people arrested in Kamloops after reported robbery, collisions, and vehicle fire in Riverside Park
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say three people have been arrested in relation to an alleged robbery, multiple vehicle collisions, and a vehicle fire in Riverside Park today (Aug. 3).
RCMP Cst. Crystal Evelyn says at approximately 10:42 a.m., police received a report of a robbery at a commercial property in the 1300 block of Battle Street. Officers were told the vehicle involved was a blue van, reported as stolen. The van also hit multiple vehicles while fleeing the scene.
“A vehicle description was provided. Updates advised the suspect vehicle had been involved in two collisions,” explains Evelyn. “Shortly after police located the suspect vehicle on fire in Riverside Park.”
Two suspects were located near the washrooms and taken into custody, while a third was arrested soon after near the Overlanders Bridge.
