COVID-19 cases still rising in the Interior Health region
KAMLOOPS – The Interior Health region is continuing to lead the province in new cases of COVID-19.
The Health Ministry is reporting 131 new cases of the virus in the region Friday (July 30) and 243 new cases overall across British Columbia.
A COVID-19 outbreak was declared in the Central Okanagan region earlier this week when case numbers began to rise to levels last seen during the second wave of the virus in April.
Vaccination rates are slowly rising as well. 81.1% (3,758,385) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 64.9% (3,008,360) have received their second dose.
