White Spot burgers supporting wildfire relief efforts

KAMLOOPS – There are currently 827 properties that have been evacuated in the Thompson-Nicola region, and 3,108 are on alert. If you’re going out for dinner tonight, that’s a good reason to head to White Spot or Triple O’s.

Today (July 29) only, every restaurant in the chain across British Columbia is donating $2 per every hamburger sold to the Red Cross Wildfire Relief Fund.

The federal and provincial government will match the donation, producing $6 for every burger sold to go toward wildfire evacuees across B.C.

“It obviously hits close to home in Kamloops, so we’ve been smoky for the month and had a lot of evacuees actually in both locations from ESS,” said Dan Millar, operating partner at White Spot in Kamloops.
