Chase woman charged in relation to October shooting at Lower Sahali motel

KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a Chase woman has been charged after a shooting in Lower Sahali last fall.

On October 16, 2020 at about 7:30 a.m., RCMP stormed the area of the Hospitality Inn on Columbia Street West after multiple shots were fired.

One person was injured, but RCMP did not identify any suspects at the scene.

Tuesday (July 27), RCMP reported the B.C. Prosecution Service has approved a charge of possession of a restricted firearm against 38-year-old Jennifer Lindsay Manuel of Chase.

Spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says the charge comes after a long-term investigation by the Kamloops RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit.
