Stankoven selected by Stars in second round of NHL Entry Draft

KAMLOOPS — It took an extra day to hear his name called, but a Kamloops local was welcomed to the National Hockey League (NHL).
Logan Stankoven, the 18-year-old Kamloops Blazers forward, was selected in the second round by the Dallas Stars 47th overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
In his draft season, Stankoven scored seven goals and three assists in six games during the shortened Western Hockey League Hub season. He also scored four goals and four assists in seven games at the World U-18 Hockey Championship helping Canada win gold.
