Power outage affecting more than 1,500 B.C. Hydro customers in Kamloops

UPDATE: B.C. Hydro’s outage map indicates that power has been restored.

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — A power outage has affected 1,522 B.C. Hydro customers in northeast Kamloops.

With power off since 1:51 p.m. on Wednesday (July 21), the outage affects properties north of Barnhartvale Road, west of Pinantan Lake Road, east of Westsyde Road, and south of Mount Lolo Road.

The cause is under investigation and crews are expected to arrive at 3:10 p.m.
