Cariboo and Thompson-Nicola Regional Districts issue evacuation alerts near Flat Lake area

KAMLOOPS — A wildfire in the Cariboo Fire Centre is impacting both the Cariboo and Thompson-Nicola Regional Districts.

Evacuation alerts were issued for properties in the Cariboo and Thompson-Nicola maps highlighted below. This is due to the 300-hectare wildfire of note approximately five kilometres west of Flat Lake southwest of 100 Mile House.

Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation, although they may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
