Joshua Bassett “letting go” of onscreen relationship

Joshua Bassett is letting go of his onscreen relationship with Olivia Rodrigo in a new song that will be featured on the next High School Musical: The Musical: The Series episode.

A video was posted online of him singing the lyrics… “I love you so much that I’ve got to let you go.”

It will be featured in the ninth episode of season 2, titled Spring Break.

In it, he contemplates breaking up with Nini, Rodrigo’s character, while visiting his mother in Chicago.

The episode premieres this Friday (July 9) on Disney+.
