“Creating a better tomorrow for people with diverse abilities”
People In Motion is a non-profit which has been “Creating A Better Tomorrow” for people with diverse abilities since 1989 by providing fitness, recreational, educational and social programs and services. Our Para Transit bus picks up and provides transportation to our members so they can attend our programs and community events. It can also be chartered out to community for special events when available.
Disability Parking Permits for the City of Kamloops, surrounding areas, and northern British Columbia are issued by us. We also operate a ten acre scenic camp ground on White Lake fully accessible for people with diverse abilities. The numerous programs that are offered give people with diverse abilities the chance to socialize with others in the community.
Community & Inclusion.
People with diverse abilities face numerous barriers in their daily living that restrict their access to many opportunities taken for granted by community members not living with disabilities. Building awareness of the challenges people with disabilities face will promote a more caring and inclusive community.
