Temporary COVID-19 vaccine clinic set up in Woodgrove Centre for first doses

NANAIMO — Anyone who hasn’t yet received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine has a new way to get the jab.

Island Health announced a temporary walk-in clinic at Woodgrove Centre on Tuesday, June 22. It’s in the old Le Chateau space near the centre of the mall.

The clinic is specifically for those 12 and older who haven’t yet received their first dose of vaccine.

Anyone in need of a second dose will need to book an appointment online.

The Woodgrove Centre clinic is open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a..m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Island Health noted clinic times can change.

First dose walk-in doses are available at existing Island Health clinics, subject to supply.
