Firearms seized in Quesnel over the long weekend
QUESNEL, B.C. — Firearms and drugs were seized by the Quesnel RCMP in two separate incidents over the long weekend.
On Monday night, 36 year-old Quesnel resident Ryan Gillman was arrested for possession of a restricted firearm while parked at a gas station on Carson Avenue. Police also seized fentanyl, cocaine and cash. He’ll be in court June 1.
The other incident occurred at 6 a.m. Monday morning when police responded to a roll over on Highway 97 at Ten Mile Lake.
Police located a loaded handgun and a loaded assault rifle in the ditch behind the SUV. The front passenger was airlifted to hospital in Vancouver while three other men were taken into custody and later released.
